Je n'ai pas été très chanceux avec les lions à crinière noire du Kalahari cette année encore. Malgré tous mes efforts, je n'ai pu approcher un clan de lions extrêmement méfiants. Les mâles restent très farouches dans ce secteur du Central Kalahari. Je vais prochainement tenter ma chance dans un autre endroit où les lions sont réputé pour être de vrais monstres... !

Christophe est encore au Brésil, et c'est par satellite qu'il poste cette première image d'un jaguar dans la lumière du soir, pris sur les rives de la rivière Cuiaba dans le Pantanal... Après un voyage au mois de juillet qui n'a pas été récompensé par la chance, septembre s'est avéré bien meilleur en terme d'opportunités. Par contre les lumières étaient différentes.
D'autres images suivront, notamment des photos nocturnes.
MAIS, le jaguar reste un félin difficile. La chance joue un grand rôle ainsi que les conditions météo.
Sur une semaine passée au camp, nous avons observés 7 jaguars différents, dont 4 les deux premiers jours...
