<b>Otaria byronia.</b> Otarie de l'hémisphère sud présente tout le long de la côte d'Argentine et sur celles du Pacifique jusqu'en Colombie. Le mâle peut atteindre 2,25 m. de longueur pour un poids de 600 kg. environ. Lion de mer du sud. Otaria byronia. Pinnipède de l'hémisphère sud.

<b>Otaria byronia.</b>Les harems rassemblent une dizaine de femelles autour d'un mâle. La femelle, qui ne possède pas de crinière est moins imposante que le mâle, malgré son poids de 130 kg. à l'âge adulte. Lion de mer. Otaria byronia. Harem. Iles Falkland.

En moins d'une heure, le détroit de Bellot s'est rempli de galces dérivantes sous l'action des forts courants de marée. Les kayaks devront rejoindre le campement guidés par radio car au ras de l'eau, il était impossible de regagner la côte.

Cette belle pagode blanche a été construite en 1811 par le petit-fils et successeur du roi Bodawpaya, à la mémoire de son épouse, décédée en couches. Elle est conçue sur le modèle de la cosmogonie bouddhique. Les sept terrasses concentriques qui se superposent, symbolisent le mont Méru et les sept montagnes qui l'entourent... mingun,pagode,hsinbyume,myanmar,birmanie.

Espèce endémique, ce canidé de couleur rouge fauve, peut-être observé, à 3000 mètres, dans le massif Balé. Il se nourrit de rongeurs, notamment le rat-taupe géant, dont il est très friand. On a recensé 500 loups en Ethyopie, dont 300 dans le Balé. Cet animal n'est pas chassé par l'homme, mais menacé de disparition, en raison de la rage, véhiculée par les chiens errants... loup,abyssinie,ethyopie.

Autre building conçu par Gehry, "New York by Ghery", cette tour résidentielle de 76 étages, haute de 265 mètres, en arrière-plan du pont de Brooklyn et à proximité de Ground Zéro. Elle se caractérise par ses 10 500 panneaux ondulants en acier inoxydable. Inconvénient : l'effet loupe du soleil sur la structure métallique serait à l'origine de quelques départs de feu dans le voisinage.
