<b>Zalophus californianus wollebacki.</b> Sous-espèce du lion de mer de Californie. La femelle est adulte vers 6/8 ans et pèse une centaine de kilos. Elle constitue des harems d'une trentaine d'individus pour un mâle. Celui-ci pèse 250 kg et affiche un tempérament plutôt agressif à terre. Otarie des Galapagos, Zalophus californianus wollebacki, mammifère marin.

<b>Zalophus californianus wollebacki.</b> De retour sur la plage, la femelle reconnaîtra son jeune à ses cris et à son odeur. Ce dernier parviendra à se nourrir seul vers le cinquième mois.
