Gangas de Burchell au point d'eau dans le désert du Kalahari. Saison sèche, hiver. Un jour le fondateur d'une agence de voyages bien connue, en discutant du Kalahari, mes disait qu'à la saison sèche il n'y avait rien à voir dans le Kalahari... Ben voyons... Ici, tous les matins, des dizaines de milliers de gangas de Burchell viennent boire entre 9h00 et 10h00... Des nuages d'oiseaux... Le tout, c'est de connaitre l'endroit... ! Gangas de Burchell venant boire au point d'eau le matin dans le désert du Kalahari. Les adultes viennent boire et charger les plumes ventrales en eau par capilarité, comme une éponge. De retour dans le désert, à plusieurs kilomètres de distance, les poussins pourront boire l'eau en pressant les plumes ventrales des parents dans leur bec. (Pterocles burchelli). Central Kalahari. <b>Pterocles senegallus.</b>Sénégal. A fin de s'abreuver, il doit effectuer quotidiennement à l'aube et au crépuscule des voyages d'une soixantaine de km parfois. Dépourvu de moyens de défense, mais paré d'une livrée de couleur sable, il se confond avec le milieu désertique qui l'environne. Homochromie, Ganga tacheté, Pterocles senegallus, Sénégal.
